Privacy Policy

Minnesota Association of Assessing Officers is committed to protecting the private information of its members.  Non-members do not have access to member profiles contained in MAAO's member database and made available on the MAAO web site.  Members must log in to the MAAO web site to search the member database.  MAAO does not sell its member list for marketing purposes.
 
Only partial information contained in MAAO member profiles is provided to other members.  MAAO will provide to its members only basic contact information for other members such as addresses and business telephone numbers.  Financial transaction and other personal information exchanged are available only to MAAO administration.

All member information gathered by MAAO is used to allow MAAO to better serve and understand the needs of its members.
MAAO Mail List & Mass Communication Policy:
The mission of the Minnesota Association of Assessing Officers (MAAO) is to provide education and information to promote excellence in property appraisal and assessment administration through professional development with the highest ethical standards.  
  • As a matter of policy, MAAO does not disseminate member or event registration information outside of official MAAO business activities and communications. 
  • The MAAO member database and mass email communications are used only to provide a service to members by supporting the mission of MAAO.
  • Job postings will be communicated to the membership database for a fee to the poster as assessed by Executive Board.
  • Educational offerings that support the mission of MAAO will be communicated to the membership database free of charge.
  • Retirements of current and past member’s retirement and funeral notices of members and member families will be communicated free of charge.
  • MAAO Mass communications will not be used to promote products or services that do not directly support the mission of MAAO. 

Application of this policy is at the discretion of MAAO Administrators and Coordinators under the direction of the MAAO Executive Board.
